JIMMY'S BACK ON THE STREET

Back on June 2, 2005. I came home, only to see my cat had ripped open an absess; which was inside his ear. The side of his head was bloody. It was very disgusting. So I grabbed him and off we headed to the cat hospital. The vet immediately took him and got him ready for surgery the next day.
June 3, 2005. The vet calls me at work. She tells me Jimmy had a successful surgery and would be ready to pick up later in the afternoon. After a $311.00 bill, Jimmy's got a cone on his head, a drain in his ear and he's a little groggy. I had to bring him back in 4 days to have his drain taken out and 10 days to get his sutures out. As well, he has these pills to take. Clavamox, almost like Clawmonkey, but not.
The next 4 days he spends his days trying to get out and just sitting there waiting til it's over. On June 6,2005 he's headed back to the vet. He always hate's the ride in the truck. The drain is removed and he gets some ointment in his wounds. He's feeling better but still hates his cone. 1 week to go.
He spends that week; just lying around, trying to scratch through the cone. He's extremely depressed. Finally, after all the drugs, the wait is over. On June 13, 2005 he got his sutures removed and his cone off his head. He spent the rest of the night outside and only came in for fifteen minutes to eat.
Nobody's quite sure how it happened. I would guess it's because he's an explorer and will stand his ground. If it's a fight they want, Jimmy will take them on. He won't go looking for it. But he won't back down either. So put the word out.
JIMMY'S BACK ON THE STREET!
...he's a second hand hood, deals outta Hollywood...

Good to hear Jimmy's up and up to no good again. But man if you want to exchange Pet Horror Stories...This one's for you. I call It Akira fights Mother Nature ...and that Crazy Bitch kicks his ass!

May 16th 2005, on a regular walk throught the Lovely Budding Forest of North Mountain Nova Scotia, Dave and his Dog spy a Bunny...Dave Wonders why the Bunny has Grapes all over him? What Kind of Grapes grow on Bunnies? "That's some good weed", thought Dave . (foreshadowing)

June 15th 2005
Dave now knows that those were not grapes, and the weed was not that good. They were TICKS! Dave Knows this because he has picked at least 100 off his Dog since Grape Bunny day.Dave Has learned that after TICKS feed their fill off of his dog's blood they drop off looking like a sickly gray blood filled grape with legs. However Dave has also learned that throwing an Engorged TICK into a spider web = Happy Spider!
Dave had also learned that pulling ticks out sometimes results in nasty infections for his dog, because the head of the Tick sometimes remains embedded.
If it were only the Ticks it would still be pretty bad, but The Blackflies up here are retarded. They cannot penetrate Akira's fur so they gang-bite the inside of his ears. What's more, the stupid dog also ate a bee the other day and for two days his left side of his face was so swollen up it looked like he had a little Doggie stroke.
If he survives this assult you can bet that next year we will have some medicide in place for him ( Sentinal does FUCK ALL for ticks). On the bright side...I'm really not all that afraid of spiders any more!

Yes it is good to hear that Jimmy is on the prowl again. You can never keep a good cat down. After reading schmunky's story on ticks, which by the way made me a little queasy cause I can just picture the fat bastards having picked them off of my dog before, all I can say is just wait till a big hairy one lands on your shoulder. Yes you can find hairy spiders in NS and not hey are not tarantulas.

Roon, you are preaching to the choir re. the size of the arachnids here. When you come for A visit this summer I will show you shelob...she lives in the crawl-space under my house where the water pump is. Sometimes I have to go down there when the power goes off. I offer her engorged ticks so she spares my family.

You're right about that Zib. At least he hasn't got ticks yet!
He mostly goes out at night, mostly.
